Each time you walked through the library quarters,
You'd pick me up, and read a few chapters.
Only those that I let you read,
You'd always do well to let me lead.
You'd laugh hard when I wanted;
There were Certain chapters we recounted.
There were others I'd ask you to skip,
And without questions, you'd hurriedly flip.
One day, I allowed you read through,
Without my guidance, my pages scared you.
For you read those pages aloud;
All those pages I had never allowed!
Now, I'm forever on the bookshelf,
Ignored, collecting dust, by myself.
